Ringana’s SPF 50 sunscreen quickly became an essential for me—especially in summer or when I’m out surfing. What won me over right away was its formula with non-nano mineral filters: it stays on the skin’s surface as a protective shield without penetrating it—a huge plus, particularly for kids or sensitive skin. On top of shielding against UVA and UVB rays, it also protects from blue light—a key benefit considering how much we’re exposed to screens, or even when we’re in high-altitude environments. It’s not just marketing: this sunscreen really feels like a barrier you can trust, and it became a no-brainer addition to my routine.
Surfing in the sun has really shown me the difference. With regular SPF 25 creams, I’d often come back with red or irritated skin. Since switching to the waterproof SPF 50 version, my skin handles long sun exposure much better. And it’s not only about SPF levels—the combination of zinc and titanium dioxide creates a more even and reliable layer. The texture is fluid and easy to spread, without leaving that stark white cast you often get with mineral sunscreens. It blends nicely and feels comfortable, even with reapplication during intense activity outdoors.
All Ringana sunscreens are:
And most importantly: they’re safe for the ocean. None of the ingredients used are harmful to marine life or coral reefs.
Unlike conventional sunscreens, this one works immediately after application—no waiting needed before sun exposure. Apply generously to all exposed areas. Reapply every two hours, or after swimming or sweating. For my face, I use the non-waterproof version either alone or under my day cream. In the evening, I always make sure to remove it thoroughly with Ringana’s Cleanser (I share more details about that in a separate review). Reapplying is easy thanks to the smooth texture, and it doesn’t feel heavy, even on humid days.
Ringana sunscreens are among the very few products I wholeheartedly recommend. They protect effectively, respect the skin and the environment, and feel great on the skin. No sticky residue, no harsh white cast—just breathable, reliable coverage. What I especially appreciate is the total absence of nanoparticles. Many “natural” sunscreens still include them. Here, you get a safe, effective mineral shield that protects without compromising your health. For me, it’s a must-have—especially with kids around.
